As of this date, June, 2013, Damascus is the center of attention with Russia supplying advanced war materials to Damascus to fight against the rebels, which include Al Qeada. Who will nuke Damascus? Will it be Israel? Will it be Al Qeada using a suitcase nuke blaming it on Israel to set the world against Israel and the USA? Justifying

USA's destruction and then Israel's 2/3 destruction, the Ezekiel Chapters 38&39 Gog and Magog war, The Battle of Armageddon? What else other than a nuclear detonation could make Damascus a "ruinous heap" ?

As of this date September 3, 2013 Assad's government was winning the war against the mixed bag of rebels because the rebels were fighting among themselves for a superior position. He had no reasonable motive to use chemical weapons against his Syrian people and further alienate his government from the International community with possible overwhelming international military intervention leading to his defeat. On the other hand, the rebels, particularly the demonically controlled Al-Qaeda sponsored, Muslim brotherhood, an arch enemy of Assad and the U.S. had the motive to frame Assad by using chemical weapons on its Syrian citizens and blaming the Assad government in order to get Muslim demon sympathizer, Obama, to use America's might to defeat Assad. They knew all along about “king” Obama’s egotistical, narcissistic, red line statement. 

Isaiah17:1 reads: "The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap." In light of this Isaiah 17:1 prophecy in that Damascus will be reduced to rubble and cease to be a city, which has never happened in past history, I suspect the following scenario or similar situation: America shoots missiles at Assad’s military in Damascus. At the same time, Al-Qaeda stations a suicide bomber(s) in Damascus. Instead of conventional explosives, it is a low yield nuclear device known as one of the suitcase nukes that Russia developed but lost track of. (Search suitcase nuke and Stanislav Lunev ). Damascus is reduced to a ruinous heap. United States is framed and blamed for using a nuclear device without legitimate reason, further alienates the international community and gives U.S.’s enemies including Islam, by God’s permission, reason to surprise chemical attack and nuke America. ( Rev. 17:15-17) Once America is eliminated, Islam is free to take over the world by nuclear blackmail using suicide bombers and suitcase nukes. With America reduced to less than 3 world status, Israel’s enemies invade Israel as described in the Ezekiel 38 & 39 Gog War against Israel. Note! Iran (Persia) Russia, Libya and its allies are included in this war but no mention of Egypt or America. Where is the USA when the Muslims in Russia, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan Ethiopia Sudan, Libya, China, Eastern Europe, Southeastern Europe" invade Israel as described in Ezekiel chapters 38 & 39 Gog and Magog war, a future war that has not ever taken place in history?

Answer: The USA will already have been surprised attacked as described in Watchmen Ministries Home page as also alluded to in Ezekiel 38: 10-12 KJV as follows: "

"Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited,and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land." Ezekiel 38: 10-12 KJV

Note! USA's nuclear destruction is mostly on the east and west coast port cities. Surviving Americans will migrate to the Midwest. There are more people gathered in the USA out of the nations than any other country in the world. America's Midwest raises more cattle than any other country in the world. Russia and China and its allies will invade defenseless America to take a spoil, cattle, wheat, gold, automobiles, women, and slaves etc. Simply stated the only way for Israel's enemies to invade Israel is to destroy the USA, its only earthly protector. 

About 1990, prior to owning a computer, I researched the historical progression of the ancient names of the nations and participants mentioned in Ezekiel 38 in the KJV bible to arrive at the modern names for the countries that will invade and attack Israel. My research uncovered the same modern names as the following Web site did with the exception of the link to China and North Korea. For those who love to search for Truth and prepare for the inevitable , Steven Collins did excellent prophetic research in his paper regarding the participants in the Ezekiel 38 & 39 Gog/Magog war, the battle of Armageddon WHAT EZEKIEL 38-39 REVEALS About A FUTURE WORLD WAR III (Note typo error on bottom of page 11, should be 6th century BC instead if A.D). Steve came up with some interesting research concerning the magnitude of the Ezekiel 38,39 war linking it with the battle of Armageddon and his inclusion if many more nations involved . He also did extensive research of chapter 37 which I never did. Initially, I did not interpret Ezekiel 37 literally, but only allegorically, metaphorically or by similitude; however, after reading Steve's, research I need to do more research to link with his literal interpretation of chapter 37 with the resurrection of the dead in Israel.
