Over my past 33 year walk with the Lord and Biblical research, I had read in the Bible several scriptures about seeking the face of the Lord *6. It was always researched to metaphorically mean to be communing in the spiritual presence of the Lord; however, the more intimate I became in communing and hearing from the Lord over the years the more desire I had to see His actual face. This desire is similar to stories I have heard about people communicating with each other by letters phone, or Internet, who have never physically met and forming a very close bond with each other and the subsequent desire to meet in person.

I know Ruth's artistic talent is a gift from God just as are so many gifts of the Holy Spirit (1Cor. 12:7-11) for believers. About 2 years ago I showed Ruth a picture of the face of the 'dead' Jesus' taken from the enhanced negative of the Shroud of Turin. My desire at that time was for Ruth to paint just what she saw only to paint the picture of the resurrected Jesus with His eyes open because at that time I mistakenly thought that the risen earth walking Jesus would look just like he looked during his life prior to His death. Ruth has the type of talent that cannot be jump started just because I asked her to do this task so she had to wait until she was motivated to start this project.

Recently in our praying together, I was asking the Lord to give her new anointing for ministry so just recently she again embarked on to this endeavor. She used the enhanced negative image (PD) from the Shroud of Turin, as a guide to the above painted picture. Many, including scientists who tested this Shroud, believe it to be the actual burial cloth with its supernaturally imposed image of the 'dead' crucified Jesus. There have been numerous scientific experiments on the Shroud. They have not been able to determine how the image was produced - "the body image of the Turin Shroud has not yet been explained by traditional science; so a great interest in a possible mechanism of image formation still exists at http://www.answers.com/topic/shroud-of-turin#ixzz1LsDrZT2w. Other scientist stated that some type of high intensity flash of light that science cannot duplicate or explain caused the Shroud image. " . . . As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world. John 9:5 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. John 12:36. . . And his raiment (clothes) became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them. (Mark 9:3) ".. .

I had been following the research articles on the Shroud since 1978, the year I was Born Again. (John 3"1-6) Based on the conclusive statements during this time by several of the investigating scientist, there is no doubt in my mind that the image on the Shroud is the supernaturally imposed image of the crucified 'dead" Jesus of Nazareth, the prophesied Messiah, King of the Jews and Savior of the world He did in fact rose from the dead.

Ruth stated that about the final two hours of the painting it was not her but the Holy Spirit controlling her painting. When I asked her what the sensation of being controlled by the Holy Spirit meant to her, she said I can not really explain it. Her statement adds validity to this supernatural intervention because our limited human experiences here on earth does not equip us to identify or aptly explain what goes on in the spirit realm; however, from the Biblical perspective, in an attempt to explain the meaning of the Holy Spirit's influence and control of believers in the practicing of Spiritual gifts or any action that God wants done in His behalf through His children, such as prophecy, evangelizing , healing, in addition to the many other gifts of the Holy Spirit, Ruth became “beside” herself.

The "friends" of Jesus said He was beside Himself (out of his mind, mad or insane) in Mark 3:21(KJV). Festus accused Paul of being beside (out of his mind) himself in Acts 26;24. and Paul writes to the Corinthians in 2 Corinthians 5:13: if we are beside ourselves [out of our mind; mad, as some say], it is for God and concerns Him; if we are in our right mind, it is for your benefit,(2Cor. 5:13 explained Amplified Version ):If we are out of our mind, and take on the mind of Christ it is for God's purpose; if we are in our natural mind then it is for you. I had been beside myself many times and moved (controlled) by the Holy Spirit over the years when I was , evangelizing, teaching, counseling, rebuking, correcting, training and giving prophecies from the Lord, several of which also came to pass and all supported 100% by the Scriptures. To be beside oneself means to be in a humanly indescribable supernatural state, absent from one's own mind” [2Cor. 5:13] in order to take on the Mind of Jesus Christ (1 Cor. 2:16). No longer are you in control but the Holy Spirit (God) is in control With that said, then if in fact the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ was actually controlling the painting through Ruth, then it could only mean that the finished painting is actually the face of the risen Jesus. Even so, any supernatural event must be validated by the God's Word in the Holy Bible with the reminder that Satan, can come as an angel of light to deceive even the elect with counterfeit miracles. 2Cor.11:14; 2Thess.2:9 Therefore, a true believer must prove all things through the Word of God to keep from being deceived or deceiving others. The following is the testimony of the attempt to prove that Ruth did in fact paint the Shroud Jesus Weeping for America under the influence of the Holy Spirit.

     It was around 11:00 pm on May 4, 2011, I was intently working on my computer gathering names of Messianic Congregations in Israel to send them the Prophecy to America, when I realized that Ruth was still working on her painting from the Shroud. I hollered into the dining room. Ruth are you still working on your picture? She said, "yes but it is not me doing it". I sensed in my spirit that Ruth was in fact under the control of the Holy Spirit. She is a woman of detail and habit, but this night she was certainly in different mood . She deviated from her normal schedule and was intensely painting . About midnight, I walked into the living room where she was just finishing the painting. I looked at the painting and I was awe struck. As I was gazing at this marvelous picture , I started to tear. I had to go back into my computer room because the tears were running down my cheek. I had to be alone because it was a sacred moment that I could not initially explain. I then realized that the painting was a depiction of Jesus weeping over the sins of the majority in America, the same sins and fatal judgment content found in Prophecy to America in the above attached file's attached file that I was about to send to the believers in Israel because He is the Holy God of Creation and cannot allow evil to go unpunished; however, he weeps also for His creation greater than a caring father weeps for his wayward child.

     How appropriate that I was working on the email to the messianic congregations about the pending judgment on America the same time that Ruth was caught up in the Spirit while painting. I returned to the living room to again to analyze the picture. I don't ever recall a Jew or a Mideast native having such bright blue eyes? (Wrong again! see footnote #3). I asked Ruth. Why did you paint His eyes bright blue. Ruth hesitated and initially said I don't know. That was on May 5, just after 12 midnight. This morning May 9, as I am writing this testimony the thought again came to mind as why would the Holy Spirit would cause Ruth to paint such bright blue eyes on a Mideastern native. Concerning all things I know the Bible, the Word of God has the answers.

I asked the Lord in my thoughts, If this picture is supposed to be you Lord then why such bright blue eyes? The next thought that that came to mind was the Scripture about the eyes being full of light, so I looked it up and it is: "The light of the body is the eye(*2 ):if therefore thine eye be single, (whole, sound, clear) thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! "Mt 6:22,23. I must explain though that just because a person's iris, the colored part of the eye is dark, green, hazel, or dark brown or doesn't mean that the inside of a persons spirit, soul, mind is full of darkness (demons) . These two scriptures have to do with the inward spiritual condition of a holy person or unrepentant sin of the non believing person's mind, soul, 'heart' or spirit. Jesus Christ is called the Light of the World, (John 9:5,) and Satan is the Prince of Darkness Eph. 6:12. Those believers who have the gift of Discernment can look into any person's eyes regardless of what color their irises are and read the spiritual condition of that individual. The above scriptures on the eye and light seemed a possible answer to my question. This afternoon as I am writing this account, I again wanted to know from Ruth why she painted the eyes bright blue. She was doing our wash in the other apartment building next door, so I called her on her cell phone. I again asked her, Ruth, why did you paint the Shroud Jesus' eyes bright blue? At first again she said "I don't know but quickly followed, I believe it I wanted to show the light that was/is in Jesus through his eyes. Praise the Lord! I had already written the above Scriptures which Ruth did not know I had written. From Matthew 6:22.23. ". . .I am the light of the world. . . "John 9:5and ". . . The light of the body is the eye. . ."Matt, 6:22. What more testimony do I need when out of the mouth of two witnesses confirm the Word of God and His Holy Spirit is coordinating our thinking.

    Some unsaved, carnally minded people, look on the outward physical appearances of people and judge them but God and his children look into the spiritual heart, mind, soul and spirit of the individual knowing that the beauty of a person is not the outward physical appearance but the inward physically invisible condition that can only be discerned by Holy Spirit gifted person. Knowing that all people do not have the gift of discerning of spirits, so in order to get the attention of the carnally minded majority, it makes sense for God to use the physical appearance of the bright light blue eyes to indicate the purity of the light for His image. Even after this revelation I was still not convinced that God, would pick Ruth, even though she is a born again, baptized in the Holy Spirit, Godly, Bible believing and obeying woman, who even wears a head covering during prayer and worship (1Cor. 11:1-16) , to paint the face of the resurrected Jesus, the Son of God.

     Initially, this negative thought of unbelief was reinforced by another question about the picture Ruth painted that caused me to doubt that it was the face of the resurrected Jesus. The picture she painted shows a handsome face. Contrary to many popular paintings, pictures, and drawings of Jesus Christ over the span of 2000 years in many drawings and paintings, depicts a handsome or very attractive figure of Jesus. But in Isaiah 53 verses 2&3 describes Jesus' physical appearance as very homely ". . . and as a root out of a dry ground : he hath no form(no visage) nor comeliness;(no favored appearance)and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. . . "I have known for years that Jesus was rejected partly because of his physical appearance, so that is why when Ruth painted this handsome Jesus using the homely face on the Shroud I just doubted very much that this was the Jesus prophesied by Isaiah 53; however, in searching the Scriptures, they again corrected my wayward thinking. The following Word of God, confirms that there was a change in the face of Jesus when He rose from the dead and supports the above picture to be the face of the resurrected Jesus.

The Shroud of Turin depicts a 'dead", homely, and crucified. Jesus of Nazareth. It is his earthly physical body without form, without comeliness and without beauty just as described by Isaiah 53:2,3; however, when Jesus was resurrected from the grave he took on another appearance, an appearance that some of his closest companions, who walked with Him during his lifetime, did not recognize as written in the following Scriptures.,. ". . After that he appeared in another form (external appearance( *4 ) unto two of them, as they walked, and went into the country. . . "Mark 16: 12-16". . . And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs. And they talked together of all these things which had happened. And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. But their eyes were holden (*5)that they should not know him. Luke 24:13-16. . . And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. And their eyes were opened, and they knew Him; and he vanished out of their sight. (Luke 24:30,31)". . . And they told what things were done in the way, and how He was known of them in breaking of bread. . .(Luke 24: 35)And when she had thus said, she turned herself back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it was Jesus. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master. John20:14-16 Even Mary Magdalene one Jesus; constant companions did not recognize His face but only when he called her name did she recognize her Lord” The woman clearly identified in the New Testament as Mary Magdalene, a Jew. . . was a constant companion of Jesus during his ministry in Galilee was one of his earliest followers. . . Loyal to the last, Mary Magdalene witnessed the crucifixion . . . and the interment of Jesus' body in the tomb; she was also the first recorded witness of the Resurrection.' Read more: at

Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. John20:19,20Note, when Jesus miraculously appeared in the midst of the disciples, they did not blurt out that it was Jesus because they did not recognize His face. When Jesus appeared in their midst, He knowing they would not recognize his glorifying face immediately showed them his crucifixion wounds as the means to identify Him. And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God. (John 20:26-28)Again, when Jesus miracously appeared to Thomas, Thomas did not blurt out that it was His Lord until Jesus showed him his wounds. It wasn't the Lord's face but the wounds that Thomas identified. But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No. And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher’s coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes. As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread. Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fish which ye have now caught. Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and for all there were so many, yet was not the net broken. Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine. And none of the disciples durst(dared)ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it was the Lord.John 21:4-12

    Again, a whole boat load of His disciples that constantly followed Him during His ministry initially did not recognize that it was the face of the risen Jesus until he spoke to them. John not only recognized his voice but remembered when Jesus performed the same miracle of the fish catch back in pre-resurrection ministry in Luke 5:4-11, when John was also present in the boat, only this time the net did not break from the abundant fish. So in these Scriptures it is quite obvious that those who were closest to Jesus, the eleven disciples that traveled with him in His three years of ministry, Mary Magdalene another constant companion, His disciple, Cleopas and the other disciple, who were the two traveling to Emmaus did not initially recognize Jesus by sight but eventually did so by his either his voice ( John 10:3,4) or previous action that He performed during his pre risen, human ministry. Jesus' facial appearance was changed when he rose from the dead and according to the following Scripture the same change will take place, when we who have the Spirit of God living in us, the same Spirit of that raised Jesus from the dead, will raise us from the dead. . . changed!

    In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 1 Cor. 15:52-54 

    This supports, that although Ruth used the 'dead', homely, image of the Shroud of Turn to paint the face of Jesus, her (His) painting could very well be the changed face of the risen soon glorified Christ. One day shortly after Ruth painted "Shroud Jesus Weeping for America", and it just may have been the day after, I went to my quiet time, morning prayer 'closet' ( my computer room) for scripture reading and prayer, as I do each day. I randomly opened my bible to Psalm 17 and my eye rested on verse 15: 15 " As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness." Psalm 15:17 I don't ever recall reading this scripture before.

Matthew Henry's comment on Psalm 27:8, "When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek."God calls us to seek his face in our conversion to him and in our converse (prayer) with him. He calls us, by the whispers of His Spirit to and with our spirits, to seek his face; he calls us by his word, Matthew Henry's comment on Hosea "I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early." When we are under the convictions of sin, and the corrections of the rod, our business is to seek God's face; we must desire the knowledge of him, and an acquaintance with him, that he may manifest himself to us, and for us, in token of his being at peace with us. And it may reasonably be expected that affliction will bring those to God that had long gone astray from him, and kept at a distance.

This previous Matthew Henry statement is applicable to the most quoted Scripture ". . . If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. . . "Chron 7:14

THE DISCIPLES GOING TO EMMAUS Matthew Henry commentary Our Lord Jesus, though not known by face to them, makes himself known to them by his word. at Matthew Henry's following comment:

    "Presently their eyes were opened, and then they saw who it was, and knew him well enough. Whatever it was which had hitherto concealed him from them, it was now taken out of the way; the mists were scattered, the veil was taken off, and then they made no question but it was their Master. He might, for wise and holy ends, put on the shape of another, but no other could put on his; and therefore it must be he. See how Christ by his Spirit and grace makes himself known to the souls of his people. He immediately disappeared: He vanished out of their sight. Aphantos egeneto — He withdrew himself from them, slipped away of a sudden, and went out of sight. Or, he became not visible by them, was made inconspicuous by them. It should seem that though Christ's body, after his resurrection, was the very same body in which he suffered and died, as appeared by the marks in it, yet it was sofar changed as to become either visible or not visibleas he thought fit to make it, which was a step towards its being made a glorious body.As soon as he had given his disciples one glimpse of him he was gone presently. Such short and transient views have we of Christ in this world; we see him, but in a little while lose the sight of him again.
